Tell James Clapper to Brief the Electors
With just six days until the Electors choose our President, it’s crucial that everyone who signed the Electoral College Petition takes action every day to STOP TRUMP.
Today, we’re calling on Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper, to provide intelligence briefings to the Electors so that they can fulfill their Constitutional duty to investigate and deliberate.
If they investigate, they will no doubt conclude that Mr. Trump’s relationship with Russia, especially in light of compelling evidence that Russia meddled in our election, presents an untenable conflict for a potential President.
Trump’s business interests seem to align closely with the economic and geopolitical interests of Russia. Trump’s policy proposals appear to encourage the machinations of Vladimir Putin. And now we know Russia has been encouraging Trump.
Even more troubling, Trump’s choice for our nation’s chief diplomat, Secretary of State, is Rex Tillerson, a man who has no diplomatic experience whatsoever, and no record of public service, but who was awarded one of Russia’s highest honors, the Order of Friendship, by Putin himself, and has multiple business interests in Russia.
This is an urgent national security issue. Even the members of Republican leadership in the Senate and the House are calling for an investigation and 40 Electors have asked for an intelligence briefing.
